Raja Muda of Selangor graduates from university

Selangor Raja Muda,  Tengku Amir Idris Shah, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Environmental Biology in December 2014. Tengku Amir Shah received his degree from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.

Tengku Amir is very concern about the environment and his subjects mainly in Selangor. Recently,  the 24-year-old prince joined a programme organised by Klang Municipal Council to raise awareness about dengue in Selangor. In his speech,  he urged the public to make cleanliness in their neighbourhood as a priority and to work together to combat dengue crisis

In 2013, he joined a Tree Planting Event at Kompartment 100, Raja Musa Forest Reserve.

In his speech, Tengku Amir said, he encourages everyone to promote awareness on the importance of conserving the nature at school and higher education level. He also hopes that the ecosystems at the largest peat swamp forest at the East Coast of Peninsular of Malaysia is capable to sustain the nature that will also create impacts on the locals' socio-economic. Cooperation and involvement of government agencies, private sector, non-government organizations (NGOs) will help the government to conserve and protect ecosystems of peat swamp forest.

Investiture Ceremony in conjunction with Selangor Ruler 69th Birthday

Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah attended the Investiture Ceremony in conjunction with his 69th Birthday at the Balairung Seri (Throne Room), Istana Alam Shah. Perak Ruler, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah heads the list of Selangor Ruler 69th Birthday. 27 people were bestowed the Datukship Awards.

Also present at the ceremony was the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Selangor Exco, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad being conferred Darjah Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS) which carries the title 'Datuk'

Perak Sultan heads the list of recipients

Sultan of Perak, Sultan Dr.  Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah heads the list of recipients in conjunction with Sultan of Selangor 69th Birthday. Sultan Nazrin will be conferred Darjah Kerabat Selangor Yang Amat Dihormati [First Class Royal Award (DK).

Meanwhile for Darjah Kerabat Selangor Yang Amat Dihormati [Second Class Royal Award] it will be conferred to Tengku Panglima Besar of Selangor, Tengku Abdul Samad Shah.

27 people will be bestowed the awards which carry the title of "Datuk".

Sultan Nazrin was conferred DMN

Sultan of Perak, Sultan Dr. Nazrin Shah was conferred Darjah Utama Seri Mahkota Negara (D.M.N) by Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah. Prime Minister,  Dato Seri Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak presented the award to Sultan Nazrin on behalf the Supreme Ruler. The ceremony was held at Istana Perak, Kuala Lumpur.

Sultan Nazrin will be installed in May 2015

Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah will be installed as the 35th Sultan of Perak on 6th May 2015. It was announced by the Secretary of Perak's Dewan Negara.

Sultan Nazrin was proclaimed as the Sultan of Perak on 29th May 2014 upon the demise of his father, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah.

Tunku Mahkota of Johor marries Cik Khaleeda Bustaman

Tunku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Johor, Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim ties the knot to Cik Khaleeda Bustaman at Istana Bukit Serene. The solemnization ceremony was performed by the Mufti of Johor, Dato Mohd Tahrir Samsudin.

Cik Khaleeda Bustaman now will be known as Che Puan Khaleeda Bustaman. Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim and his consort, Raja Zarith Sofiah were present at the ceremony. 

Tunku Ismail's siblings, Tunku Tun Aminah, Tunku Temenggong Johor, Tunku Idris Tunku Laksamana Johor, Tunku Abdul Jalil, Tunku Panglima Johor, Tunku Abdul Rahman Hassanal Jefri and Tunku Putera Johor, Tunku Abu Bakar were also present.

Johor Sultan and his royal consort were seen leaving the palace grounds around 11.45 a.m. 

Some 15 minutes later, the newly wed royal couple left Istana Bukit Serene.They waved the pressmen waiting outside the palace gates. The solemnization was held in a private ceremony.
